 Hello there,
I am super excited to be sharing with you a little of what I have been up to over the past few months and some upcoming opportunities to see and purchase my latest work. First of all, I will be launching my seasonal, pre-Christmas online shop update at 7 pm on Thursday, 1st December. As my loyal customers and subscribers, you will be given an exclusive 30min early bird access from 6.30 pm – watch out for the email. Due to the pre-Christmas dispatch and delivery deadlines, the shop will only be open for 10 days, until 11th December, or less (until the stocks last). As always the shop will be made live from my website. In addition, this coming weekend (25th - 27th November), you can come and meet me and my work in person at the V&A Dundee. I am taking part in a small exhibition and market of the best of Scottish contemporary design. More info is here. Finally, I have been invited as one of the emerging makers into a new conceptual store, Bard, in Leith. Its creators Hugo and James have travelled far and wide across the country to select the most interesting examples of creative practice – well worth a visit if you are nearby. I hope you are all having a lovely spring and I am super excited that there are two happy things I would like to share with you - OPEN STUDIOS & SHOP UPDATE! OPEN STUDIOS As some of you that follow me on Instagram may already know, I will open my studio doors during first weekend of June and welcome you into my creative space. This is part of Out of the Blue Abbeymount Studios and everyone in our building is taking part so lots of beautiful makers and artists to see. You will have the opportunity to see me make some pots and also buy my work! So if you are in Edinburgh this weekend 4th & 5th June between 12-6 pm, I would love it if you were to drop by :) Studio 1 Abbeymount Studios 2 Easter Rd Edinburgh EH7 5AN SHOP UPDATE I am super excited to let you know that my summer online shop update will open on Friday, 10th June - for the weekend only (then it will be closed until Autumn)! The pieces in this collection include vases of various sizes from mini to extra large and a variety of tableware from cups, olive dishes, breakfast bowls, pasta bowls, plates, cheese platters as well as some oil burners, incense holders and candle holder dishes. Loads to choose from, but bear in mind some items run out quite fast. Start of the year has been super good to me and I have many of my plans already in motion. Over the next couple of weeks I will be finalising my schedule for 2022 and I am so excited to share with you a super mini shop opening durring middle-March weekend. Only a limited selection of pieces from the Sandscape Collection is available, spannig the tableware, decorative and exclusively new jewllery range! Hence, I thought it is only fitting that I update you all on news from Julija Pustovrh Ceramics, in particular the upcoming festive online shop opening and two in-person markets, where you can catch up with me as well as have a closer look at my work in person (if you are in Scotland). The WINTER 2021 shop update goes live at my website on Wednesday (1st December). So, make sure you watch out for that link in an email at 6.30pm when you will have a 30min advanced access! Mine flew by way to soon and I am already finding myself writing an Autumn update. My partner and I went on a forest walk last weekend and it certainly feels like Winter is round the corner. Anyways - I have a lot of really exciting updates for you! This coming Friday (1st October) I am having a long-anticipated mini shop opening. The online shop opens at 7pm - though if you subscribe to my newsletter and reminders, you get exclusive early-bird access from 6.30 pm. Secondly, I am super happy to let you know that my experimentation with natural locally sourced materials, in particular sands and wild clay, is progressing very well and I am soon embarking on a short residency at The Lengths in Achaphubuil, near Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands. Due to an overwhelming amount of Instagram interest in the new projects I have been working on, in particular my latest experiments with Kurinuki and a brand new collection of Sandscape straws for life, I decdided to do a super short weekend shop opening this coming weekend (18th-20th June). That means you can get your straws lined up for any Summery coctails you have been planning! :) Anyways, the new items, as well as some other recent pieces are all available through my online store until midnight on Sunday. As always, the items are a mix of functional and decorative tableware, including your favourite mini vases - this time you can choose amongs 40 of these unique little beauties! In addition, there are some very "springy" hanging planters and large statement vases and the last of thsi winters oil burners and wax melters.
